The KECAK Story

Kecak is a form of Balinese Hindu rhythmic dance and music drama, based on Sanskrit epics. It is traditionally performed in temples and villages across Bali. The dance is performed by a circle of as many as 150 performers percussively chanting "chak" while moving their hands and arms. It is so trance-inducing that in the midst of the Kecak, the lead dancer starts what is known as fire kicking dance.

The performance depicts a battle from the Ramayana, in which the monkey-like Vanaras, led by Hanuman, help Prince Rama fight the evil King Ravana. In fact, Kecak is also known as the Ramayana monkey chant.

We created "Kecak" with black matte onyx and black hematite for a simple, clean, but tough look. Based on an epic story, for you to tell yours.
